Ah…The first week is finally over. It's kind of funny. I'm usually either pumped-up to go to school or I'm dreading the moment. But once again this year I feel…nothing. Well I did initially. But as quick reminder of where I am, I was quickly loaded with things to do, people to meet, and assignments to work on. Yep, I'm back at university.
This semester is going to be an interesting one, that's for sure. I've got a nice big room to move into and a lot of space to fill. I actually went on Kijiji to find myself a nice $30 couch. It's actually in decent shape. That's what's great about living in a university town. With so many students moving in and out, there are always neat things people want to get rid of. For cheap.
As for school, my courses aren't too bad (yet). I did ok on all my courses last semester. Currently I'm taking a few "arts" courses in addition with the regular engineering stuff. Arts courses are kind of cool though. They allow you to expand your mind and think outside the box (even though in the end you realize that the box didn't exist in the first place!). The two I have this semester are neat as well. One is "Military History and Thought" and the other is "Professionalism and Ethics". Both are quite involving and a pleasure to learn. The readings (yes I actually do them, unlike a majority of other students) aren't bad either.
Well that's the update from this side of the fence. I'll probably post again within the week.
