Enjoying the Summer

Well not much is going on right now. Actually I'm still on my 12-week construction engineering officer course. A lot of class and paperwork. Nothing I can't handle. Other then that I mainly spend my free time reading, swimming in the pool, or going to the beach. I decided that I might as well take this time to learn how to swim. My friends are helping me out, but i still have a long way to go. I also got may new cap badge for my trade as well as the rank slips to go with them. My beret is shown here in this picture.

On another note, I just celebrated my first birthday in 3 years that was not in the mud. Now I'm 21 and still the youngest guy in my course. I have to say though, it was great experience. I got a nice care package from home. I ended up partying through the night, recovering, watching Batman (which by the way is a great movie), and being woken up in the middle of the night by my friends so that they could give me some gifts. My staff even gave me a cupcake with a candle on it (which was as embarrassing as it was funny). Good times and good memories.

Other then that I don't really have much to say. Nothing new and exciting is reallying happening that I can really talk about. Oh well. That's life.
